The Courage Project
No, we accept nominations on a rolling basis.
No, there is no entry fee to submit a nomination.
Yes. There are no limits to the number of nominations a group or individual can submit. Please fill out separate nominations for each candidate.
Individual award recipients are not eligible for a grant, but can “pay it forward” by recommending a values-aligned organization to receive a grant. When an individual receives a “Pay It Forward” award, they are invited to recommend a grant to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in their community that is aligned with the values of the project. “Pay It Forward” recipients are typically awarded to one or several individuals for personal acts of courage.
This project is focused on actions and activities in the United States of America.
Anyone from the public can nominate an individual or organization.
We encourage nominations from those familiar with the individual and their act of courage over self-nominations.
The Courage Project awards are general operating grants (versus grants for a particular project or area of work) awarded to 501(c)(3) organizations, and managed by our fiscal sponsor, the Amalgamated Charitable Foundation.
