Clyde and CJ Bynum

Pay-It-Forward Awardee

Clyde and CJ Bynum, along with their neighbors and friends, showed remarkable courage during a January 2026 winter storm in northern Mississippi by using their Jeep 4×4 vehicles and kinetic ropes to rescue hundreds of stranded motorists and 18-wheelers on icy roads. They worked long hours in sub-freezing conditions when standard emergency crews could not safely operate, ensuring drivers could reach safety. The Bynums have a long history of helping their community, including assisting neighbors during previous storms and providing rides to healthcare workers through MSJ Off-Road.
