Dr. Diandra Poe

Pay-It-Forward Awardee

After experiencing assault in the Army, Dr. Diandra Poe founded Glass Soldier, an organization dedicated to addressing the cultural and structural conditions that allow military sexual trauma to persist. Guided by a belief that healing can lead to purpose, she completed six years of service and now dedicates her career to supporting survivors and reforming military culture. "Through Operation RESPECT — her evidence-based prevention training program — and survivor-centered community workshops, Dr. Poe works directly with service members, mental health professionals, and military institutions to promote accountability, healing, and prevention. Her outreach has reached entire battalions and national-level training, while her broader leadership reflects a deeply personal commitment to justice, resilience, and ensuring that others are not left to navigate trauma alone."
