Project Home’s Emergency Housing Fund
Organizational Awardee

Project Home’s Emergency Housing Fund in Maine provides direct rent and mortgage support to Maine households whose family members have been detained by ICE or are unable to work due to the threat of detention and family separation. Grounded in Project Home’s model for long-term housing stability, the Fund intervenes within days to prevent eviction, stabilizing families before a temporary crisis becomes lasting homelessness. This targeted approach protects health, employment, education, and safety while reducing the far greater social and financial costs of displacement. Since launching on February 2, 2026, the Fund has received over 900 applications for support and has helped 166 families stay stably housed.
