Walk for Peace
Pay-It-Forward Awardee

Walk for Peace is a months-long cross-country pilgrimage led by Buddhist monks from the Dhammacetiya community in Fort Worth, Texas, who walked roughly 2,300 miles across the United States from October 2025 to February 2026 to share a message of peace, compassion, and loving-kindness. Traveling through cities, towns, and rural communities, the monks modeled mindful presence, nonviolence, and human connection while inviting people of all backgrounds into reflection and dialogue. The journey has fostered community engagement nationwide, symbolizing resilience, unity, and hope in a time of social division.
